Product Review: No7 BB Cream

About two months ago I walked into a Space NK store and was preached to about the benefits of using a BB Cream underneath your foundation by the assistant, and so started an almost religious obsession with using them.

I had seen the Boots No7 BB Cream raved about a few times on blogs and thought I'd give it a go. They are one of few brands that I know of who have created different BB Cream formulas for different skin types. A bit of a dry girl and heading into winter I chose the Normal/Dry in Fair and was on my way.

An easy to use squeezey tube that is actually brilliant at controlling just how much comes out, it gives a satin finish to the skin once applied. Packed with SPF 15 and HypoAlergenic ta-boot, the shade matches my skin perfectly right now, although I'm not sure if it might be a smidge too dark in the winter when I'm super pale. It has fantastic longevity and I find it it's still on my face at the end of the day - from hours in the office to my gym session in the evening. The coverage isn't very heavy at all, but it is only a BB Cream. And as I'm pretty blemish free (yay!) I don't really need that much coverage.

I still apply a foundation on top of it, apart from when I'm going to the gym or nipping to the shops or something, but only because I want something with a bit more coverage. I do wish it was more moisturizing by itself - I could not use it on its own - however it blends beautifully on top of my moisturizer, so as long as you put that on first then it's fine! I kind of gave away the ending to this review when I mentioned it in my September Favourites, but I have been reaching for this product every day since I picked it up and have been recommending it to everyone I know. One of the women I work with has already been pressured into going to Boots and buying it - she's in her 40's with very sensitive skin so it does work on a range of different types. If you havn't tried it already - do it now!
