Product Review: Simple Sun-kissed Moisture Cream

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but big news guy - I've broken the 100 followers mark! Yeah buddy! Okay, celebrations aside, I mentioned that I'd bought this product in my last Boots Haul here after seeing it mentioned ages ago in a Beauty Blog (I'm sorry, I can't remember where - I tried looking!). I'm not a huge fan of the Simple Skincare products, even though they're supposed to not contain any chemicals, or colours and only use nice ingredients, they just don't seem to sit well on my skin and feel quite harsh.

Anyhoo! I've been using this product for just over a week. I apply it in the evening every other day (I alternate it with my night cream), after I've cleansed my skin and just before I got to sleep. I know some people prefer to add gradual tanners on in the morning, but the thought of turning slightly darker throughout the day really erks me out and I feel as though I have more control this way.

The product is described as a light gradual tan and comes with UVA/UVB protection. A white cream with quite a chemical smell to it, I have found it be actually quite moisturising. The tube isn't very big, but you really don't need a lot. I have actually been really pleasantly surprised by this product! I wanted something just to try and give my face a bit more colour as it's looking quite a bit paler compared to my body and this stuff seems to just work! I don't look orange or streaky at all and it just keeps my face looking the same shade as my body! I'm not sure what it would look like if I was using this when I didn't have a bit of a base tan, but right now it's absolutely perfect and it's not that expensive at only £4.99 in Boots. Bargain!

  1. I hate the idea of using a facial gradual tanner on a morning too, I think they'd make an awful base for make-up! This sounds really nice, I'm using Clarins' gradual face tanner at the moment but wish I'd tried this first to try and save a bit of money! x
