Product Review: Clarins Colour Accents, Face & Blush Powder

Being a longstanding member of O2, I hit my five year anniversary with them a couple of weeks ago and was presented with a choice of rewards for my loyalty. Without hesitation I jumped at the chance to receive a £15 voucher in Debenhams and almost ran to the store an hour later at lunch time to pick this up. Despite falling head over heels with this new addition to the Clarins Autumn range a month ago, I could not justify the hefty £30 price tag.. until now!

My skin is rapidly losing what's left of my tan and as a result I've already had to move to a lighter foundation and rather sadly I'm finding my lovely Benefit Hoola Bronzer is starting to look a bit too bronzed for day wear. This product has become my saving grace! It comes in the signature Clarins gold casing (the smudgy, finger print photos don't do it justice!) with a little cover you can put it in to protect it when it's in your handbag. A Burberry like pattern to it, the quad is split into a series of different bronzed colours ranging from darker at the top, and lighter at the bottom who two intersecting strips of bright pink.

I generally just swirl my Eco Tools powder brush into it and sweep it across my face, followed by carefully using a blusher brush. I get the feeling you could use this palette with a bit more focus and pick out some dark / light colour combinations to contour but I've been content using my minimal effort approach. In the photo above I have used the powder to set my make-up and then applied a little bit of my mineral No. 7 blusher onto of my cheeks. Absolutely gorgeous it gives a really natural, light, matte hint of colour to my face that I have used every single day since I purchased it. A slight parma violet smell to it that disappears upon application, this product is without a doubt going to be mentioned in my September favourites in a couple of weeks time!

What's your Autumn Beauty product want? Have you tried anything else from the Clarins Beauty range?
