My Skincare Routine

Before I start.. BOOM! I've reached 200 followers! Thank you so much to everyone for supporting and following me - it really does mean a lot. Right, onto the post.. I have had a couple of request over the past few weeks for a post on my Skin Care Routine. To give you an idea what we're dealing with here - I have normal to dry skin. In the summer it does get a bit greasy around the old t-zone and I'm prone to the odd blemish on my chin, but apart from that my skin is pretty clear. With winter round the corner I'm already starting to feel the effects of long days in an air-conditioned office, cold winds and a general lack of moisture in the air.

Generally speaking I keep things simple with my skin. I think it's important not to change around your routine too frequently but instead stay with one product for a month or at least a couple of weeks before changing to give your skin time to adapt and start gaining some benefit from it.

Left to Rigth: St Ives Apricot Scrub, No. 7 Night Cream, Rodial Cleanser, Clarins Moisturiser, Muslim Cloth, Johnson's Face Wipes, Simple Moisture Cream
In the Evening:
Rodial Glamtox Cleanser - I have been using this product for about a month now and absolutely love it. I gel like formula that I smear all over my face and make-up whilst it's still dry in the evening, I then use a muslim cloth heated in warm water to cleanse, gently exfoliate and remove everything on my face in the evening. I will be writing a more indepth review about this amazing product soon.

No. 7 Night Cream - Normal/Dry - After I have cleansed I alternate between using this and the Simple Sun-Kissed Cream. I've had this product for almost 3 months now it's near the end but I absolutely love it. Sinks in well and helps give my skin the extra boost it needs to keep moisturised.

In the Morning:
Johnsons Daily Essentials Nourising Wipes - It's probably wrong to have this much love for a simple face wipe.. but the Johnsons Nourising range are incredible. They aren't too harsh and are what I reach for in the morning to wake my skin up and make sure my skin is nice and clean for the start of the day.

Clarins Daily Energizer Cream - I never ever go a day without putting moisturiser on my skin at the start of it. Although designed for drier skin, this one is surprisingly light on the skin and gives a perfect base for make-up. Will be investing in something slightly richer soon though as the weather gets harsher. I have already written a blog post about this here

Other Items:
St Ives Apricot Scrub - Gentle - Using a muslim cloth means my skin gets gently exfoliated, however once a week I use this gentle exfoliator just to really clear my skin and make it feel as though every bit of product is really out of my pores. I mentioned this item a while ago when I first discovered it here.

Simple Sun-Kissed Skin - Not really a skin care item, but something I use quite regularly is this little face tinter. I apply it probably three times a week after I've cleansed in the evening, just to give my skin the slighest bit of natural colour. Again I have written about this item here if you want to find out more about what I think of it.

What skin products do you use? Do you have any recommendations for a good winter moisturiser?
